Melissa Marie Benoist (born October 4th, 1988 in Harris County, Texas, U.S.) is an American actress and singer who is best known for playing Marley Rose on the FOX musical drama Glee. Before her breakthrough role, she first appeared in the 2008 movie Tennessee and then landed minor guest roles on Blue Bloods, Homeland, Danny Collins, Whiplash, The Longest Ride, The Good Wife, Law & Order and others. At present, she stars as Kara Danvers/Zor-El/S.Girl on the CBS series Supergirl.
