Trinity is one of many operatives, or resistance members, from the last human city, Zion, whose goal is to defeat the efforts of the Machine intelligence to hold humanity hostage within the Matrix.

Before being freed from the Matrix, Trinity (her name as she lived as a bluepill is unknown) was a computer cracker who broke into the IRS d-base.

Assigned to the Zion hovercraft Nebuchadnezzar, Trinity works with her captain, Morpheus, to seek minds that would accept the truth of the Matrix and subvert the Machine's hold on mankind.
